Not all triggers are compatible due to set points or dimensions.

Though most “Mil-spec” triggers will work with our uppers, the wide “tolerances” found and allowed in them make it impossible to guarantee that they will all work.

Our recommended single stage trigger is the Velocity 3lbs Classic or MPC.
Our recommended 2-stage trigger is the Jard AR Top Adjust with SPEED hammer, in any of the pull weights they offer.

Our True Bolt Action Uppers are designed and intended to feed from standard AR style magazines.

For our UPR10 series of uppers and rifles, we recommend Magpul LR/SR 308 magazines for all calibers offered.

For our UPR15 series of uppers and rifles our recommendations depend on caliber.

For our 6 ARC and 6.5 Grendel, we recommend the Amend 2 , 6.5 Grendel magazine. The Amend 2 mags are the smoothest feeding and most reliable mags that we have tested to date for 6.5 Grendel and 6 ARC.

For 224 Valkyrie, we recommend the CProducts Duramags in 6.8 SPC.

For 223 Wylde and 300 Blackout nearly any brand will work. We run and recommend Magpul Pmags.

All of these mags are available through us by going to Shop>Magazines.

We guarantee the accuracy of our uppers and rifles, using quality factory ammo.
We strongly advise not using Sellier and Bellot (S&B) with our products, especially in 6.5 Creedmoor. Their ammo has shown to be very inconsistent, which may lead to poor accuracy, split cases and bad days at the range. We have not experienced issues with any of the other major manufacturers, such as Hornady, Federal, Remington, etc.
In terms of reloading, we offer no performance or operation guarantee. Reloading is a science, with thousands of variables and as such we can not guarantee outcomes.
If you have any questions, please give us a call.

Do I need to take my buffer and spring out of my buffer tube in order for the bolt action to work?

Our true bolt action uppers will run with or without a buffer and spring. The rear of the bolt does extend into the buffer tube 5/8″ to 1″ depending upon caliber, so that amount of travel is needed. Lowers like the BRN-180 or Sig MCX would not be compatible as they don’t allow the bolt to fully travel to the rear during cycling. If you want to run a folding stock, we would suggest the Law Tactical folding stock adapter.

Do you make a Left Handed Receiver?

Yes!  We offer left handed versions for both the UPR15 and the UPR10. We don’t have a mark up…just because you use the wrong hand!! Cost is the same 😉

What Lower Receiver should I use?

Our UPR-15 uppers are compatible with any “Mil-spec” lower receiver.

Our UPR-10 uppers are DPMS GEN 1 LR-308 pattern and are compatible with any other lower of that spec.

To see a list of known compatible and non compatible UPR-10 lowers, click on Shop>Guns>UPR10>scroll down to just below the add to cart button>click the Lower compatibility tab.

In regards to Aero Precision M5 lower receivers, our UPR10 upper will mount and function on them. However, Aero uses the AR-308 pattern which is slightly different from the LR-308 pattern that we use. The difference in spec results in a  “gap” larger than we would like to see, at the rear radius ( where the lower curves, for the buffer tube hoop). The gap does not cause accuracy or functionality issues, it is just not as aesthetically pleasing as we would like.

Do you sell just Receiver sets?

We no longer sell upper receiver sets. We only sell complete uppers or rifles.

Are your uppers compatible with standard AR-15 and AR-10 barrels?

No, they are not. Although our barrels attach like an AR barrel, they are not AR barrels. There is no gas hole and we use a Proprietary Barrel Extension nut with our uppers to accommodate our 3 lug bolt.
