The Uintah Precision UPR10 is a true bolt action upper for your DPMS LR-308 pattern lower or semi-auto rifle. The UPR10 brings the accuracy of a bolt action rifle to the familiar AR pattern of firearms, guaranteed to shoot 1 MOA or better with factory match ammo. Build out a dedicated lower or pin the UPR10 to a rifle you already have.

Accurate, modular, familiar – Uintah Precision UPR10.

Every proprietary component of the UPR-10 upper assembly is made and assembled in The United States. This complete barreled upper assembly is ready to fire once bolted onto your AR-10 rifle.

Make it a Complete Package

The UPR10 receiver is made from 7075 with a 20 MOA rail machined into it to maximize your scope’s adjustment. The standard barrel option is a 416R Stainless Steel Match barrel by Preferred Barrels. They are threaded 5/8×24. 308 barrels are non tapered, heavy .90″ profile. Creedmoor barrels are non tapered, medium .810″ profile. The UPR10 can be used with or without a buffer and buffer spring. The bolt extends in to the buffer tube approximately 1″. The 3 lug bolt is machined out of 4140 American steel, with the bolt handle threaded to 5/16×24 to accept aftermarket bolt knobs if desired.
60° bolt throw.

Completing the upper is a 15” M-LOK handguard. Handguards may be changed out by the end user if desired, with any Gen 1 DPMS low profile pattern handguard. The weight of a complete UPR10 depends on barrel length / caliber but the average is 7lbs.

INSTALLATION
Once you un-package the UPR-10, installation is quick and easy! Installing the UPR-10 is just like changing any upper receiver, simply remove the two retaining pins from your lower and pin the UPR-10 right back in place. From there you’re set to put rounds through your new long-range precision rifle.

Trigger COMPATIBILITY for 10

We are continually working to keep this list as up to date as possible. At this point in time, if it is not a standard AR trigger or one listed below, DO NOT USE IT. There is a possibility that if the trigger is pulled, with the bolt open, the hammer may fall before the bolt is closed completely and the lugs fully engaged. This may cause serious damage to the rifle and/or injure the shooter. Due to the many trigger variations available, it is impossible to guarantee they will all work safely with our upper. Again, we advise that if it is not listed here, DO NOT USE IT.

***Regarding Aero Precision M5:

Aero Precision M5 lowers are built to AR308 spec and not DPMS GEN 1 LR308 spec. Our uppers will pin to an Aero M5 lower, however the difference between the AR308 and LR308 results in a “gap” at the rear radius, that some find is not aesthetically pleasing. The gap does not affect safety, function, or accuracy it just does not look as good as we would like.

I purchased the 308 Winchester UPR10. When I received it, I took it out to sight it in with the Primary Arms scope I picked up for it.
3 shots was within a half inch. This was with 180gr Powershok hunting ammo, and 168gr Federal GMM with SMKs. I’m impressed and very excited to develop a load for this upper.
Very good buy, I intend to get the 6mm ARC in the future!

I purchased my .308 Win UPR10 primarily for hunting in Pennsylvania. The game commission does not permit gas-operated rifles for deer season, but bolt action are ok. I paired my upper with a Vortex Viper PST II and set off to sight it in. I was on paper with the first round and by the third shot, was solidly in the bull at 100m. I moved out to 225m (the maximum distance for where I hunt) and was astonished to find my group less than 3″ low, based off of the 100m zero. The five shot group of 168gr HPBT bullets measured 1.27″ across, 2.8″ low. When I switched to my hunting cartridge (Hornady ELD-X, 178gr) my group shrank to 1.16″ and was just 3.22″ low. I am truly impressed by this rifle and can’t wait to bag my first deer of the season with it!

Love this gun. I built a James Madison Tactical lower that pairs perfectly with the .308 20” UPR10 upper. Mounted a Viper PST ll 5×25 on it and rang steel at 800 yards on the first trip out. My best to date is 1123 yards with 3 out of 5 impacts on an 8” plate. Will be ordering the 6.5 Creedmoor 26” upper soon

I purchased the .308 UPR10 and slapped on one of my Razor HD Gen II 3-16, and was able to consistently hit steel at 1000meters with a suppressor connected.
I am looking forward to buying the 26″ 6.5 Creed to go along with the collection
